I've just bought a Roswell CHL Charlie Christian Pickup for the neck position on a Telecaster build. How do I mount it to the body? I want to have no pick-guard and mount from below. The top part of the pickup (i. e. the blade part - the only part that should be visible) won't go through the hole. The same goes for when trying in a standard Tele pickguard. Is there some way of detaching the top to enable it to be mounted? Or do I rout a pocket that's the same size as the top of the pickup? Thanks in advance.
