Dear Sirs

Thank you for your inquiry.

Typically, the 9V batteries provided are of the standard alkaline type.
Rechargeable 9V batteries, while they share the same form factor, are of the lithium-ion type,
where the circuit is designed to create 9V artificially through an IC chip.
It has been noted that applying such batteries to electric guitars and bass guitars often results in significant noise due to overvoltage.

The electronic circuitry of active pickups is designed to accommodate standard alkaline batteries.
Therefore, it is recommended to use alkaline batteries for optimal performance.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.

Best regards,
paul – Production manager
